Dr. Christos Yiapanis is Head Veterinary Surgeon at CYVETS Veterinary Centre, a referral-level veterinary centre in Paphos, Cyprus, and Clinical Associate Professor of Surgery at the University of Nicosia School of Veterinary Medicine.
He graduated with a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from the Aristotelian University of Thessaloniki and holds the Certificate in Small Animal Surgery (CertSAS) from the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons. He completed a European College of Veterinary Surgeons (ECVS)-accredited residency in small animal surgery at the Koret School of Veterinary Medicine, Hebrew University of Jerusalem.
His clinical and research interests focus on small animal orthopaedics and soft tissue surgery, with particular emphasis on oncologic, thoracic, and neurosurgical procedures, and a particular interest in complex orthopaedic and corrective surgeries. He has authored and co-authored peer-reviewed publications and is a frequent invited speaker at international scientific meetings, and regularly delivers practical surgical training through workshops and continuing education programmes for veterinarians.
