ULTRASONOGRAPHY
Ultrasound is a non-invasive procedure which uses reflected sound waves to create pictures of internal organs and other features. Uses:
- Examination of abdominal organs
- Pregnancy Test
- Ultrasound guided tissue and organ sampling
- Evaluation of the heart chambers contractility and valves function.
Most animals are evaluated while awake, but occasionally a patient requires anesthesia. All that is needed is to clip the pet’s hair at the location to be evaluated.
